Holy ambitions

Acts 7:49 (Berean Study Bible)

Heaven is My throne and earth is My footstool. What kind of house will you build for Me, says the Lord?

We Christians need to remember that none of can outdo or outwork God. There is nothing that we can or will do that God hasn't already done. Our ambition to do great things for God is naive because God has finished all these works even before He made Adam and Eve. What we are witnessing now is not new works for God but a mere fulfillment of His Master plan. Our duty as believers is simply to participate in God's great plan and not try to out-think Him. No can lay any other foundation than Christ Himself, the cornerstone.
