John 16:33
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
It's inevitable for a saint to run into trouble. As much as we shouldn't go looking for trouble we can't avoid it either. The Lord is guaranteeing that those who want to live a godly life will be persecuted in this world. The overcoming victory may not be in this life but is always in and through Him.
