Prayer of confidence

Psalm 3:5-6

I lie down and sleep;

I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

I will not fear though tens of thousands

assail me on every side.

King David was always persecuted by Saul, the Philistines, the Midianites and all of God's enemies. However, David learned to trust the Lord and rest in Him. The prayer of confidence is reassuring oneself that God is always watching over us and will protect us.
