The Tigray region in Ethiopia has been wrought with political instability and upheaval for several months. So far the conflict has killed thousands of people, and more than two million have been displaced. Additionally, United Nations agencies said earlier this summer that the conflict had contributed to conditions that saw more than 350,000 people in Tigray suffering from food insecurity, while millions more were at risk. Phone lines are currently down in the region, and the internet has been cut off for months. The people in this region are essentially cut off from much of the outside world, able to receive little help or resources during this humanitarian crisis. I know your heart is breaking just like ours for everyone affected by these recent tragic events. Will you pray with us for the people of the Tigray region? Pray for:

  • Children and family members who have been displaced.

  • Comfort for those who have lost loved ones and those who are waiting to hear.

  • Church staff and emergency workers as they try to make contact with the children in their care.

  • Humanitarian organizations who are struggling to provide food and supplies to the people of Tigray.
