Release International Prayer Shields, North Korea and Eritrea

North Korea

Continue to pray in faith that North Korea will once again become a country where people can worship in freedom and truth.

North Korea Continue to pray for the countless North Korean Christians behind bars in the ‘hermit kingdom’. Those who subscribe to any belief system other than juche (self-reliance) suffer severe punishment.

Eritrea Please pray for Dr Kiflu Gebremeskel, the chairman of the Eritrean Evangelical Alliance, imprisoned since May 2004 – and never charged. His wife and four adult children have not been able to visit him.

Eritrea Mussie Ezaz, a youth pastor in Eritrea, was first arrested in 2007; he escaped but was rearrested and is believed to be being held indefinitely as he has never been tried. Pray he will be reunited with his family.

Eritrea Fellow inmates of Mussie Eyob in Eritrea are thought to include Twen Theodros, detained since 2005 when she was a new believer. Ask God to strengthen her.

Eritrea Pray for Mussie Eyob, detained since February 2011. He had been arrested in Saudi Arabia for preaching to Muslims; he was deported back to his native Eritrea where he is believed to be in Me’etr Prison.

Eritrea Pray for the release of several Eritrean Christians arrested during a raid on the Faith Missions Church in Keren city in June. Five church leaders were arrested the next day – in apparent retaliation for church leaders’ recent calls for peace and reconciliation.
