Pray that Iran’s new President, Masoud Pezeshkian, will govern wisely, in the interests of all Iranians, and have the courage to undertake reform in the area of religious and human rights.
Laos
Pray for the family and congregation of pastor Thongkham Philavanh who was killed by gunmen in northwestern Laos in July. Thongkham, a tribal Khmu leader who was aged 40, was the provincial head of the Lao Evangelical Church.

Many Christian leaders in Laos face constant threats and persecution. Our partner is providing opportunities for them to meet with other Christian leaders in neighbouring countries to be encouraged and equipped. Pray these would be fruitful occasions.

Pray for Bounchan and his family. He was released in 2012 after a 14-year prison sentence. Thank God that our partner is able to support him with ongoing care, basic living expenses and medical provision needs.

Despite being expelled from his village for his faith, he has continued boldly to witness and has seen many families accept Christ.
