Please pray for authorisation to import Bibles, through the Bible Society of Algeria. Pray particularly that a consignment of Bibles which has been impounded for more than two years would be released.

Pray for the health of the leaders of the Christian community. Pray for guidance and protection for those who seek other ways to worship and have fellowship, following the closure of 43 of Algeria’s 44 Protestant churches.

Pray for an end to the harassment that Algerian Christians face from the security services when meeting officials. Many are intimidated at ports and airports every time they leave or return to the country.

Pray for the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of church leaders and other believers who, along with their family members, have suffered health problems as a result of the long and unjust judicial proceedings they have had to endure.

16 December 2024 – Algeria

Pray for cancellation of the convictions of those who have been found guilty by local judges simply for practising their faith. Most of these cases are now with the Supreme Court of Algeria. Pray that this judicial body hears these appeals soon and finds in their favour.

Pray for the regularisation of the status of the Protestant church in Algeria. All the paperwork has been submitted but no response received yet. Pray that the 43 Protestant churches the Government has closed will be allowed to re-open.

It’s not only adults who can pray for our persecuted family. Every month we produce a prayer sheet aimed specifically for children. Each sheet has specific activities and prayers which will help children learn more about how persecution affects children in other countries.
