Gift

1 Timothy 4:14 (NIV)

Do not neglect the gift.

Every one of us who was saved and sanctified by the Holy Spirit has a sworn obligation to God Almighty to keep the Spirit's flame and His spiritual gifts alive in us. Some of us may have been called to preach. In that case, we should diligently and fearlessly preach the word of God and let the Holy Spirit flow through us to the world. Some may have been imparted the gifts of miracles and divine healing. Such saints should allow God's supernatural healing and miracles to flow through them. Yet others may have been called to be comforters and encouragers. They should allow the Holy Spirit to impart His love and sympathy to others through them. Regardless of what spiritual gifts we may have been imparted by the Spirit, we should allow the Holy Spirit to minister and flow through us. We should not put Him to sleep in us by becoming embroiled in worldly affairs, but should fan Him into flame in us to busily go about our Father's business.
