Holy

Ezekiel 36:25 (NIV)

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean.

We can't make ourselves holy. Holiness is God's idea and only His Holy Spirit can cleanse us. If we're trying to be holy that's a sure sign that we have fallen back into legalism. The desire and ability to live a holy life come from God. If we attempt to produce the fruit of the Spirit without His Spirit within us, not only will we fail but we'll lead others astray with legalism that may have a semblance of godliness but lacks the omnipotence of the Holy Spirit. Let us fix our eyes upon Jesus, for He is the one who makes us holy.
