ISIS ATTACKS CONTINUE
Christians in northern Mozambique continue to suffer greatly due to ongoing attacks by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIS). In May 2025, several attacks occurred in Niassa province, an area that has not previously experienced Islamist violence. Though it is customary in Lao culture for villagers to collect money to help the deceased's family, the village chief refused not only the collection but also denied him a burial plot in the cemetery. Because Jer Sua's illness had depleted his family's resources, they could not even prepare food for the funeral. However, Christians in the village came alongside the family, giving them rice and money. Read More.
