Eternal government

Isaiah 9:6 (Berean Study Bible)

..and the government will be upon His shoulders.

With an administration change there is naturally a lot of apprehension among believers. Issues ranging from taxes, abortion, homosexuality, family and marriage to national security take center stage. There are those who wish a change while others prefer status quo. The real issue is that none of these elected governments are truly in charge. Politicians come and go but the true government in this life and the one to come rests on the shoulders of the blessed Lord Jesus. There are administrations that the Master blesses while He merely permits others. But, at all times it is His eternal government that always administers to this universe and the new creation. Christians should take comfort in that fact.
