The President has tweeted that North Korea will stop short range missile tests as soon as US-South Korean military drills end. He also looks forward to meeting Chairman Kim soon. Will suspending expensive military drills with South Korea jeopardize security in the region? Have these expensive drills achieved anything meaningful? I'm inclined to agree with the President that allies in the region should do more to defend themselves and not expect US taxpayers to keep bailing them out.
