Pray for all those in Afghanistan who have to practise their Christian faith in secret. Pray that God will provide opportunities for fellowship and openings to share their faith with others.

Praise God for one seeker in Afghanistan who said, ‘I read the Bible and my eyes were opened to the truth. If other people would read the Bible, they would also understand and believe.’

Many Afghans who hear Christian radio programmes want to learn more. However, due to the severe consequences of being exposed, they are wary of getting in touch with our partner’s follow-up teams. Pray that they will have courage to make contact.

Give thanks for Release International’s partners, Operation Matthew and Operation Angel, who produce and broadcast Christian content in a range of different media into Afghanistan. Pray that everyone who reads, hears and watches will be impacted by the truth of the gospel.

Praise God that churches are being planted and people are turning to Jesus in the midst of war and hostility towards Christians.

Pray for Ukrainian Christians who have been forced to flee, leaving behind their homes, ministries and familiar surroundings. Pray that they would soon settle in their new locations and be encouraged to continue following the Lord.

Pray that Pastor ‘Alexis’ and his wife will be able to receive the care, support and encouragement they need. He, along with others in his team, ministered under Russian occupation despite significant danger.
