Release International prayer requests for Laos, Central lAsia

10 May 2025 – Laos

Pastor ‘Phouang’ (see previous day) has been arrested, interrogated, threatened, falsely accused and knows his life is at risk.  Pray for the Lord’s protection on him and his family.

09 May 2025 – Laos

Please pray for Pastor ‘Phouang’, who is a bold evangelist reaching across tribal boundaries to a minority people group. Pray that his work would continue to bear much fruit.

08 May 2025 – Laos

Pastor Thongkham Philavanh was shot and killed last July (see Voice, October-December 2024). Please pray for his wife and two teenage children as they continue to grieve and for other Christian leaders who have lost a dear brother.

07 May 2025 – Central Asia

Give thanks that the most severe forms of persecution in this region have subsided and pray that Christians would make the best use of the relative freedoms they now enjoy.

06 May 2025 – Central Asia

Although the countries in Central Asia have secular constitutions the influence of Islam is growing. Pray that this will not restrict Christians from sharing the gospel in their communities.

05 May 2025 – Central Asia

Pray for Christians in Kyrgyzstan where new laws are being introduced to restrict religious freedom. Under these laws, churches with fewer than 500 adult members will not be permitted legal status.

04 May 2025 – Central Asia

Pray against the negative influence of Moscow in this region, which asserts that all churches outside the Russian Orthodox system are agents of the West.
