Release International Prayer Shields, China, Myanmar, Iraq


Pray for the Early Rain Covenant Church in Chengdu, Sichuan province, as authorities in China continue to attempt to shut down this unregistered church.


Pray that Christian communities in Myanmar will find strength in unity and stand firm in their faith.


Thank God for the determination of believers in Myanmar such as Paing. A former Buddhist monk, he now shares the gospel in Buddhist villages, despite suffering intense persecution over the years.


The military in Myanmar have reportedly destroyed places of worship since they seized power. Pray for new homes for displaced congregations – and wisdom for their leaders.


Please pray that God will encourage and sustain His people in Myanmar amid continued unrest and violence since the military coup in February.


Thank God that Release partners recently repaired the homes of five Christian families in Qaraqosh (also known as Bakhdida). Pray for these families as they return to this mainly Christian area of Iraq.


Fifteen refugee believers recently finished a four-month sewing course in Iraq, facilitated by Release partners. Pray that God will cause their small businesses to prosper.
