Seeking

Amos 5:4 (Berean Study Bible)

Seek Me and live.

Although, God unsolicitedly manifests Himself to some (like Saul) He normally reveals Himself only to those that seek Him. Since the resurrection and ascension of Christ, seeing God in Person is a privilege bestowed only upon a few. Most of us have to simply believe that He exists and be content with His indwelling Holy Spirit till we are resurrected after the Lord's return. Asking and seeking are now the norms by means of which we seek and find the Lord and His will. As the Apostle James succinctly puts it, if we don't find Him that's because we're not seeking Him.
