Psalm 50:7 (NIV)

I am God, your God.

Imagine that. God has to introduce Himself to us mere mortals like a commoner.  Adam and Eve walked in perfect fellowship with God and saw God daily, until they sinned.  From that point on, instead of knowing God, mankind, like Moses, has to ask God, "What is your Name?" How far have we fallen out of fellowship with God that He became a total stranger to us? But thanks be to the Lord Jesus Christ, God no longer has to introduce Himself to us. We know God as our Father in the Lord Jesus Christ.
