Outnumbered

2 Kings 6:17 (NASB)

And the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Greater is He Who is within us than he who is in the world. Do you believe that? Your response to that question will determine your eternal destiny. In this case, Elisha's servant thought that the enemy outnumbered them. Even when the Prophet Elisha comforted him with the fact that those who were with them far outnumbered the enemy, the servant refused to believe. Only when God opened his eyes could the servant see the surrounding hills filled with spiritual warriors and chariots of fire. The next time you feel outnumbered or overwhelmed by life, remember that Jesus of Nazareth never lost a battle. A great cloud of witnesses and a multitude of angels are cheering you on and protecting you. Greater is He Who is within you than the prince of this world or the devil.
