Breakfast

John 12:21 (NIV)

Come and have breakfast.

This was the Lord's Prayer Breakfast, right after His resurrection and the second time He appeared to the Apostles. The Apostles were devastated by His arrest, trial, and crucifixion. They hid themselves, fearing arrest by both the Romans and the Jews. They were tired, confused, demoralized, and had gone back to their old lives (Peter went back to fishing). It was in that context that the Lord Jesus did the most ordinary thing: He fixed them breakfast. Sometimes when we expect God to do the supernatural, He surprises us by doing the most ordinary with far better results. 🙂🙏
