Matthew 14:29 (Berean Study Bible)

Come.

People are attracted to Christ for different reasons. Peter, who was always a little adventurous (John 21:7), wanted to test his faith. He wanted to be sure that it was Christ and not a ghost walking on the lake. The invitation from Christ was even more astounding, "come." There wasn't any of the caution and prudence that saints are constantly bombarded with. What is that you want to do for God today? Does it sound outrageous, stupid, unattainable? Then it's time to be abandoned to God and let Him lead. If we lay our fears aside, we'll always hear Him say, "come."
