Remembering the Church bombings in Sri Lanka.

DEBBIE, SRI LANKA: "I AM EXCITED FOR WHEN JESUS WILL COME!" Next Tuesday will be a year since a series of devastating bomb attacks in Sri Lanka killed hundreds of believers and injured many more on Easter Sunday.  Yet, thanks to the overwhelming response from supporters, Open Doors local partners are continuing to stand with our brothers and sisters as they pick up the pieces, including six-year-old Debbie, who lost both her parents and her eyesight that day. But despite the hardships she has endured, her faith is amazingly strong.  "I believe that one day, Jesus will come again," she says. "And oh, I am excited for when Jesus will come! He will open my eyes and I will see my family again." See how your prayers and support are helping to restore hope and joy to the church in Sri Lanka. PLEASE PRAY:

  • For the church in Sri Lanka – especially as persecution intensifies there. Ask for God’s continued provision and comfort for the families affected by the 2019 Easter attack

  • For Open Doors local partners as they continue to strengthen our brothers and sisters there.
