Following Christ isn't easy. The Lord expects us to go the extra mile with Him. Life can stretch us to our limits. Be it higher food and gas prices due to runaway inflation or heartache and grief due to death in the family and divorce, life will stretch us to the limit. The challenge for a saint is to abide in Him who was extended to the point of death without despairing. If we're steadfast, He'll open up a spring for us in the desert (Gen 21:19).
