Found

1 Kings 21:20 (NIV)

I have found you.

Salvation and redemption are God's ideas. As much as the Lord instructs us to seek Him (Matthew 7:7), we have to understand that we aren't the ones who found Him as much as He let us find Him. God's not a trophy who's waiting out there to be found and won over, but One who's wooing us (Hosea 2:14) and allowing Himself to be found (Isaiah 65:1). Unless our preaching focuses on this concept that salvation and sanctification are God's ideas, it'll lead to spiritual arrogance that led to the Pharisees' downfall who thought they had "earned" God.
