Knowing Him

Ezekiel 6:7 (NIV)

Then you will know that I'm the Lord.

Sometimes, the only way that God can reveal Himself to us is in His wrath. His love may spoil us, His blessings may make us arrogant but His wrath always disciplines us. In this instance, God was prophesying judgment on apostate Israel through Ezekiel. His chastisement always reminds us of who He is, an omnipotent God.

Indeed. That's what I said as well. However, in some cases, like Judas, God's wrath does become eternal punishment as opposed to normal discipline.

God's wrath always has a good purpose. He wants to get us back on track. It is discipline, not punishment. There is a significant difference.
