The essence of Christianity is a new spirit filled life. This is the fundamental difference between Christianity and other world religions. People of other faiths believe that they have to become morally perfect and cleanse themselves before they receive God's Holy Spirit. Whereas, Christ tells us we have to be born again through repentance and faith, and that the Holy Spirit purifies us from all impurity and makes us holy. Only rebirth in Christ and regeneration in the Holy Spirit preserve our body and spirit.
