If you only you had known on this day what would bring you peace!
The Pharisees and the religious teachers were maintaining an artificial peace and were disturbed by the boisterous crowd welcoming the Messiah into Jerusalem. Their peace was based on a false religion and pseudo-piety. Real peace is only possible in Christ, for He Himself is peace.
