Prudence

Proverbs 27:12 (NASB)

A prudent man sees evil and hides himself,

the naive proceed and pay the penalty.

It's easy to understand this verse from the point of view of shielding ourselves from trouble. But is the scripture telling us something more? Is this verse telling us to hide in Christ from the evil and sin all around us? Is it warning the godless, brilliant as they maybe from the world's perspective, who are foolish and naive in God's eyes? I believe that it is. The only prudent and wise man is one who finds refuge in Christ. Amen.
