Revolution

Matthew 16:25 (NASB)

But whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

Two thousand years ago, a short five feet tall Nazarene, who was probably dark-skinned and bald, with a long beard and just over thirty, preached a revolution against sin and Satan. He did not instigate a revolt against Rome or the local authorities as His disciples had hoped. He did not yell or cut Himself up to prove a point (Isaiah 42:2-3). Instead, He started a revolution against conventional thinking and the established way of life. He told a man to give up his ambitions (Matthew 10:38) while the world called Him crazy and impractical. He said that this worldly wealth wouldn't last and called on His followers to save up riches for themselves in heaven (Matthew 6:19), while the wealthy laughed Him off as a nutcase. He preached a spiritual kingdom (John 18:36) while the zealots of His time thought He was stupid to talk about a pie in the sky. He said the last would be first and the first would be last (Matthew 20:16) while the curious onlookers laughed at Him hysterically. He called adultery and fornication sin (Matthew 5:28), which truly inconvenienced the Pharisees and their many mistresses and affairs. He preached a revolution against the unseen forces of sin and Satan in the heavenly realms (Luke 10:18), while His followers wanted Him to overthrow Rome and establish an earthly kingdom.

People of this world will never understand the ways of God (Romans 8:7). But be sure that a revolution against the insidious forces of sin and Satan is already underway. We wrestle not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12), and our weapons are not carnal (2 Corinthians 10:4). We have a much higher purpose of overthrowing Satanic forces that are quietly operating in this world (1 Peter 5:8). This November vote to stop the Satanic forces of homosexuality, transgenderism, child genital mutilation in the name of affirming care, the destruction of women's sports by unfairly letting biological men compete in female sports, and the destruction of the Church and morality in America. Remember that our methods are spiritual and peaceful, not violent.
